“why can’t i graduate already”

10 facts about my room
1. The walls are light blue.
2. They used to be pink. With fairies. I was the coolest 6-year-old.
3. I have lots of posters and pictures on the walls, including a Harry Potter one I’ve probably outgrown, but whatever.
4. Most of the books in my room are not my own copies, but ones I took from my parents’ bookshelf downstairs. I’m going to give them back before I go to college, promise.
5. On various shelves, I have some stuffed animals, including characters from Where The Wild Things Are, a Democratic donkey, and a black cat with a jack-o-lantern sweater that my mom bought after she found out she was due around Halloween (which is my birthday).
6. On my desk, I have a statue of the Hindu god Ganesha.
7. My closet is weird. The bottom isn’t flush with the floor, so you actually have to step up to get anything out of it.
8. I have two windows: one that faces my backyard, and one that faces the side of my house.
9. My pillowcase doesn’t match my summer quilt and this bothers me more than it should.
10. I have a little dry-erase board on my wall, and a few years ago, I wrote “embrace your strangeness” on it. I’m not 100% sure what that’s even from, but it’s been on there so long that I can’t erase it and write something else.
